Welcome to Dodge Center, Minnesota
“A Solid Foundation”
A culturally diverse, industrious community along U.S. Highway 14 — home to McNeilus manufacturing, the Triton Cobras, a network of city parks, and easy access to Rochester and the Twin Cities.
A small town with deep roots and a working spirit
Dodge Center sits at the heart of Dodge County in southeastern Minnesota, where U.S. Highway 14 meets Minnesota State Highway 56. About fifteen miles west of Rochester, it offers a peaceful, rural pace of life with quick access to big-city healthcare, shopping, and an international airport. The town takes its name from its central location in the county, which was itself named for Henry Dodge, a governor of the Wisconsin Territory.
The community grew up around the railroad and the rich farmland that surrounds it. Today Dodge Center is a manufacturing and agricultural hub of roughly 2,900 residents, anchored by local businesses large and small — including McNeilus, an Oshkosh Corporation company that builds heavy trucks and steel equipment and serves as the area’s primary employer. Families are drawn here by friendly neighbors, the Triton Public Schools, and parks that draw visitors from neighboring towns. Whether you are passing through, putting down roots, or looking for something to do this weekend, this is your front door to everything Dodge Center has to offer.

Mantorville & Kasson, next door
Just up the road sits Mantorville, the Dodge County seat with a preserved 19th-century downtown, and Kasson, the county’s largest city, with more shops, services, and dining. Explore the county at the Dodge County website.
Twin Cities access
The Minneapolis–Saint Paul metro is roughly 75 miles to the northwest by way of Highway 14 and the interstate — close enough for a day trip, far enough to keep the small-town quiet.
A working economy
Manufacturing and agriculture drive Dodge Center. McNeilus, an Oshkosh Corporation company, is the area’s leading employer, while grain elevators and surrounding farms continue the agricultural tradition the town was built on.
Home of the Triton Cobras
Dodge Center is served by Triton Public Schools (ISD 2125), formed in 1990 when Dodge Center, West Concord, and Claremont joined together. Today the district educates roughly 950 students across Triton Elementary, Triton Middle School, and Triton High School, all located in Dodge Center. The Cobras compete in maroon and gray, and a Friday-night game or the annual yearbook tradition is a great way to feel the community’s school spirit firsthand.
That spirit carries beyond the school walls. From library programs and youth sports to the celebrations on the city calendar, Dodge Center stays connected the way small towns do best — in person, and on a first-name basis.
